ROBBIE WILLIAMS should know better than to raise the ire of NOEL GALLAGHER.

On Friday night at Wembley, Robbie said: "THE ROLLING STONES have done two nights here. OASIS did three - TAKE THAT are here for eight on the trot. MICK JAGGER can lick GARY BARLOW's face. NOEL GALLAGHER can lick my a**e."

And not for the first time in their colourful past, his old nemesis Noel has responded with a jibe.

Referring to Robbie's revelation that he has the sex drive of a 100-year-old, Noel said: "Lick his big fat Bobby-Butlins a**e? Wow! The hormone replacements must be doing the trick, eh? I'd rather suck on his man boobs." Robbie told Esquire magazine he regularly injects testosterone to treat a diagnosed hormone imbalance.

It's like pulling your pants down and asking for your bottom to be spanked in public by an opportunist verbal sparring partner like Noel.

And he's wise to get it out of the way now. The recently married Manc has a big announcement this week about his solo career - which shouldn't be dominated by someone else's antics.

Robbie doesn't need the mud-slinging any more.

It's a waste of energy and - more importantly for his baby-hungry missus AYDA - a waste of that priceless testosterone.

IF there was any doubt about Cheryl Cole wanting to give ex-hubby Ashley a second chance, I can end it now

IF there was any doubt about Cheryl Cole wanting to give ex-hubby Ashley a second chance, I can end it now – she has just had a heart-to-heart with his mum!

The Geordie beauty spent yesterday afternoon talking things over with her former mother-in-law, Sue.

Sue, 53, who lives in Chigwell, Essex, is said to have formed a strong bond with Cheryl during the marriage and fought hard to keep her and Ashley together.

She is desperate to see the singer – who has moved back into the old marital home in Godalming, Surrey, with Ashley – properly reunited with her footballer son.

I’m told: “Sue is incredibly fond of Cheryl and is forever singing her praises. She says she is so glad to have her daughter-in-law back.

“She realises how insanely happy Cheryl makes Ashley and believes they are a good team... Sue saw the positive impact which Cheryl had on Ashley. She loves her son and wants the best for him – as far as she is concerned Cheryl was nothing but a positive influence.”

Ashley, 30, is certainly keen to prove he is a changed man.

He flew back across the Atlantic from business meetings with megastar rapper Jay-Z in New York just to be present at Cheryl’s 28th birthday party in London on Friday. If Ashley was worried about what his mum and his ex missus might be saying yesterday, there was no sign of it. The Chelsea player looked relaxed as he was snapped leaving the training ground behind the wheel of his Bentley.

Ashley has admitted: “I’ve made mistakes and have just got to live with it.” And in a new interview he added: “I just wish people would judge me more on football and speak about football more than a life that people don’t really know.”

Friends of the couple say they are keen to put their past troubles behind them and are even talking about re-marriage and babies.

It seems Ashley has become very broody following the birth of his brother Matthew’s second child. My source says: “Family is the most important thing for Ashley – along with his football. Everyone is telling them what good-looking children they would have.”

That would certainly please his mum, who raised him and his brother Matthew single-handedly.

Ashley has said of his mother: “I just try and make her happy.

“She comes and watches every game I play. I play for her as well. As long as I make her smile after the game, it makes me happy.”

Cheryl’s chat with Sue was the first step in getting their respective families to support their decision to give their love another go.

Unfortunately, it looks as if her own mum Joan Callaghan will need a lot more convincing before she gives them her blessing.

At Cheryl’s party, Joan, 51, reportedly fumed: “I don’t want her to have him back. I’ll never forgive him for what he did to her.”

My source says: “Joan has Cheryl’s best interests at heart. She is the person who is most open and honest with her, and was there to pick up the pieces when they split up.

“She wants Cheryl to take her time before she makes any decisions.”

Pete Doherty will reportedly be charged in connection with the burglary of a German music store in March.

Pete Doherty will reportedly be charged in connection with the burglary of a German music store in March. The former Libertines frontman, currently serving a six-month sentence for possession of cocaine, faces up to five years in prison if officials proceed with charges.

Prosecutors in Regensburg intend to charge Doherty with careless intoxication, according to the German press. The singer was in the Bavarian town earlier this year, filming an adaptation of Alfred de Musset's The Confession of a Child of the Century. In the early hours of 8 March, several English-speakers were seen outside a closed music shop, which was later broken into. A record and a guitar went missing, only to be later found abandoned in the main square.

Doherty reportedly acknowleded he had been outside the shop, but told police he had been too drunk to remember what transpired. Given that he was highly inebriated, prosecutors will apparently give up on burglary charges, pursuing him for careless intoxication instead.

Doherty's current prison sentence, his third since 2003, is to end on 21 August.

Robbie Williams has vowed to prove the ‘naysayers’ wrong by leaving Take That again and resurrecting his solo career.

The singer has been copping some stick for his one-man sections during the group’s Progress Live shows.
But he has hit back at the jibes on his blog, saying he is on top of his game.
He wrote: ‘I must say I am aware that there is a perception in certain quarters – and I’m enjoying throwing that perception down people’s throats when I jump through the wall in LMEY [Let Me Entertain You]. I’ve never felt more on my game... and it’s thanks in part to the naysayers. They have put a fire in my belly and in turn a smile on my face. I’m blessed to have them.’
Unveiling plans to be a star in his own right once again, the 37-year-old continued: ‘When the tickets go on sale for my next tour, I think we’ll see what ‘dwindling’ looks like.’
Robbie continued: ‘Yes, there will be a solo tour and I’m not sure where I’ll be going yet.’ The singer has now sparked a record label tug of war for his services after Take That’s stadium tour ends.
But despite his insistence that he’s on a high right now, Robbie signalled he was still battling some self-esteem issues in another early-morning blog entry.
In the piece entitled Completing Sentences, written at 2.45am, he said: ‘I am what I think I am... an awkward, bulging pensive man.’

A stripper, a topless model and a Pop Idol hopeful were among those said to have romped with the Man U and England ace.

Married dad-of-three Ferdinand, 32, is suing over a Sunday newspaper story about an affair with an interior designer.

The list of Ferdinand's lovers was given to a judge - with enough for the ace to field a women's SOCCER TEAM if he also roped in his wife.

The names of ten girls who claim to have been bedded by the randy Manchester United idol were revealed by lawyers portraying him as a shameless love cheat.

At least seven have said the Red Devils defender romped with them while he was going out with Rebecca Ellison - now his missus and mother of his three kids.

The sexy squad was reeled off by Gavin Millar QC - defending a Sunday paper the player is suing for revealing one of the flings.

Idol ... Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand
Ferdinand is demanding "substantial" damages of £50,000 for alleged "gross invasion" of his privacy.

But Mr Millar told London's High Court the player was "the author of his own misfortune" for claiming he was a "reformed individual".

The QC insisted: "Disclosure of an affair was well justified in the public interest.

"The claimant's concern is about the effect of the article on the public image he has so painstakingly constructed.

"He has misled the public over a period of years."

Mr Millar went on to brand the superstar's conduct "reckless and self-destructive".

The barrister declared: "He must carry some responsibility for placing himself and his family in the predicament in which they now find themselves." The other women he named were:

POP IDOL CONTESTANT Sarah Whatmore, 30 - who the footballer met in a trendy Manchester bar back in December 2002.

BRAZILIAN MODEL Tatiane Rosalino, 26, who had accompanied him on a magazine shoot the same month.

VIRGIN AIR HOSTESS Lauren Alcorn, 31. She claimed he paid £7,500 for her to have an abortion during a five-year fling that began in January 2003.

RAUNCHY DUO Cathrine Shepherd, 27, and Savannah Benson, 26 - who appeared in a videoed orgy on holiday in Ayia Napa, Cyprus.

ISRAELI MODEL No1 Lilach Yafe, 29, who regularly met the footballer in Tel Aviv.

TOPLESS MODEL Holly McGuire, 33. Ferdinand told the beauty he was single and she was the only girl for him.

STRIPPER Coralie Robinson, 22, from Tokyo. She told how Ferdinand panicked when Rebecca arrived in Japan on an unannounced visit.

ISRAELI MODEL No2 Tslil Sela, 22, who hooked up with him at his stag do in June 2009.

INTERIOR DESIGNER Carly Storey, 32 - the woman whose revelations sparked the lawsuit.
